What kind of store is Y’all Ain’t Right?

Y’all Ain’t Right is a Southern brand with a progressive streak — equal parts sass, smarts, and social conscience. We make statement tees, mugs, totes, and gifts that say what you’re thinking (with a little extra attitude).

Where did the name “Y’all Ain’t Right” come from?

“Y’all ain’t right” is a Southern phrase used when someone’s being ridiculous, hilarious, or bold, usually said with affection. We loved the double meaning: it fits our humor and our politics. Around here, being “not right” just means standing up for what’s right.

Who are Y’all Ain’t Right products made for?

Our designs are made for folks with big opinions and bigger hearts — progressives, feminists, advocates, and anyone who believes laughter and justice can coexist. If you’ve ever rolled your eyes and said, “Lord help us,” you’re probably our people.

Do y’all make political shirts?

We sure do, but we keep it clever. Our protest shirts and activist designs are more about pride, humor, and heart than shouting. Whether you’re marching, voting, or sipping coffee with side-eye, we’ve got a design for that.

Are Y’all Ain’t Right products Southern?

Yep. We’re proudly Southern-based and Southern-voiced, but we don’t follow the stereotypes. Our designs celebrate the South’s voice, humor, and honesty while leaving the rest behind.

What makes Y’all Ain’t Right different from other t-shirt brands?

Unlike most brands, we bring a Southern voice to progressive ideas because not a lot of Southerners see their sayings, lingo, or dialect reflected in liberal/progressive political merch. We fill that hole with humor, heart, and a touch of Southern charm.

Products & Designs

Who comes up with the sayings?

All of the sayings you see on our shirts, mugs, and totes are created by the owner, Melissa, and most are completely original. Each one carries a little piece of our humor, heart, and perspective, perfect for progressives who like their statements clever, bold, and one-of-a-kind.

Can I copy or sell your sayings?

Bless your heart, don’t even think about it. Every design is original and protected, so please don’t try to copy, print, or sell them. We worked hard to give our words the right mix of sass, smarts, and Southern charm, and we like to keep it that way. Y’all don’t be ugly now!

Can I sell Y’all Ain’t Right merchandise in my store?

We haven’t expanded to wholesale yet, but feel free to reach out if you’re interested. Each item is made for our customers, so for now, the best way to support the brand is to buy for yourself or as gifts and share the love.

What printing method do you use for your products?

We use Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing, which sprays ink directly onto your shirt, mug, or tote for a crisp, vibrant, long-lasting result. Because each item is made-to-order, you get a product that’s personal, sharp, and ready to show off. DTG works especially well for our text-based designs, keeping all the details perfect wash after wash.

What’s the best way to care for my Y’all Ain’t Right gear?

Each product has care instructions in the description. All mugs are dishwasher and microwave safe. For shirts and sweatshirts, wash in cold water, tumble dry low inside out (or hang to dry for best results), and for the love of all things holy, don’t iron straight over the design so your shirt will last longer than some politicians’ promises.

Do your shirts run true to size?

Yes ma’am (or sir). Our unisex tees are true to size with a relaxed fit. Check the size chart on each product page to be sure. We recommend sizing up if you like to toss your tees in the dryer and let fate decide—yep, that’s our method too.

Where are your products made?

Our designs are created in the South and printed through trusted U.S. partners. We work with small businesses whenever possible to keep things personal and sustainable.

Can I give a Y’all Ain’t Right item as a gift?

Absolutely. Our products make the perfect gifts for progressives, feminists, activists, or anyone who loves a good laugh with their values.

What kind of gifts do you sell for liberals and activists?

We sell tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, mugs, garden flags, bumper stickers, hats, and other goodies made for folks who love their neighbors, fight for what’s right, and can laugh along the way—perfect for birthdays, holidays, or just because.

Shipping & Orders

How long does it take to get my Y’all Ain’t Right order?

Because each item is custom printed just for you, orders usually arrive within 7–10 business days. Once it’s on the way, you’ll get a tracking number so you can stalk the mailman.

Where do you ship?

We ship within the U.S. only. Shipping costs depend on location and item size. You’ll see exact rates at checkout.

Do you offer order cancellations?

Because items are printed as ordered, we can only cancel orders before printing begins. Contact us ASAP after placing your order if you need to cancel.

Returns & Exchanges

Can I return or exchange my Y’all Ain’t Right items?

Since every product is custom printed just for you, we cannot accept returns or exchanges unless there’s a manufacturing defect. If something arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery, and we’ll make it right.
